Tangled up in blue... and copper and steel

Leah Csiszar is truly a force to be reckoned with. Not only is she an accomplished stone mason and sculptor but she makes about the best dry skin salve a Vermonter could ask for in the dead of winter. Her acute attention to materials is evident in these items in her Etsy shop - twobeans. Leah crochets, using only her hands, various gauges of colorful copper, stainless steel, bronze, anodized titanium and aluminum to create works that are both beautiful in form and in function. Crochet has really become an art form here as traditional methods converge with not so traditional materials creating luscious colors, textures and wonderfully stable organic forms.
Be sure to check her out on Etsy!

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my brand new blog. As you can see, it is but a wee infant, but hopefully with a little nurturing it will grow to be robust and healthy in no time. It is my fondest wish that what I post here will be somewhat of interest to those who visit, or at least a support to the vast community I have found since joining Etsy a mere 4 months ago.
We shall see. In any case, winter seems to be the time to start such endeavors.
Oh, and that's my husband Glenn below - together we are Demeter's Closet. You can find out more about us by clicking the keyhole on the left.
